ADVANCE

IMPORTANT: When considering a selection of courses from a FAST PASS option ALWAYS check any degree requirements with an Academic Advisor or the UCI Catalog to make sure it fits your specific needs!

Degree planning can be challenging. With so many majors, selecting which is best for you and what courses can help you decide can be overwhelming. Once you pick your major, many courses are in specific sequences and any setback can seem insurmountable to earning your degree in four years. Or, maybe you are on track, but want to add a second major or a minor. You may even be close to early graduation.

Enter Summer FAST PASS. This is a great chance to

  • Advance: Make progress in your major or minor, potentially finishing credits early.
  • Access: Get access to popular courses often full during the academic year.
  • Explore: Explore courses that will help you enter the major of your choice, or start that exciting double major, minor, or interdisciplinary program.

In addition to providing a great set of courses, the FAST PASS clusters ensure that you get to take advantage of the Pay-for-8 program. You only need to pay for 8 of the units in the cluster!

How to enroll: Enroll in Summer FAST PASS courses through the regular UCI Summer Session options. Just search on the courses and enroll.  No additional application is necessary!
