If you would like to be considered for summer financial aid, you must complete both the following steps by their respective deadlines:
- Submit your 2020-2021 FAFSA* by June 2020, though it is recommended that you complete your FAFSA by May 2021 to ensure your record can be successfully submitted. Please note that the 2020-2021 FAFSA that is required for summer aid is last year’s form, which is different than the 2021-2022 FAFSA that you may have already completed for fall financial aid.
- Complete the online Summer Financial Aid Estimator by logging into My Aid by June 2021 to be considered for grant funding.
After May 2021 loans may be available, based on your personal financial situation. In order to be eligible to apply for summer aid, please also keep in mind that you must enroll in a minimum of six (6) units.
Students who enroll for Transfer Edge through our online form will receive payment instructions to their UCI email address 4-5 business days after their submission.
It is critical to read the form in its entirety and understand that by submitting you are agreeing to be billed and are required to pay all fees.
The mandatory campus fee of $184 is non-refundable. Students may indicate their intent to use financial aid on the online form which will be applied to your final bill once available in your student account. Students enrolling through our paper process should follow the instructions listed on that form.
The State of California requires that you be told the following: Federal student loans are available to most students regardless of income and provide a range of repayment options including income-based repayment plans and loan forgiveness benefits, which other education loans are not required to provide.
