Scientific Mathematical and Computing Skills

CHEM 5 (4.0 units)Session II

Introduces students to mathematical skills, including complex numbers, linear algebra, differential equations, multivariable calculus, infinite series, Fourier series, and integral transforms; and computing skills, including plotting, data analysis (statistics and curve fitting), linear algebra, symbolic mathematics, and spectral analysis.Corequisite: (CHEM 1C or CHEM H2C or CHEM M3C) and MATH 2D. Concurrent enrollment in Chem 5 lecture and lab is required. Chem 5 is restricted to chemistry majors only.
