Introduction to basic principles of probability and statistical inference. Axiomatic definition of probability, random variables, probability distributions, expectation. Prerequisite: MATH 2A and MATH 2B and (MATH 2D or MATH 4). Overlaps with MATH 130A. Concurrent with STATS 281A.
