"Studying abroad in Cambridge was the best five weeks of my life! The crazy streets of the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, our travels to Scotland and the exciting city of London, and the quaint, lovely ambiance of Cambridge itself are the things I miss dearly. From the academics to the culture and to the great friends I made, this program gave me memories I will never forget!"

The Travel-Study Ambassadors attended a Travel-Study program and now enjoy sharing their experience and enthusiasm with prospective students. You may see them on campus, at information sessions, and special Travel-Study events. They are also excited to receive your questions via e-mail.

"Living in Buenos Aires was an amazing experience. The city has a rich European influence. I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Argentine culture by eating in cute cafes, watching a tango show, taking the subte, communicating solely in Spanish with my host mom and much more."

My summer abroad in Argentina was by far the best decision I've made here at UCI. I met fantastic people from my program that I still remain very close with now, and I met a lot of local Argentines, including my host family, who I keep in constant contact with. Plus, I actually learned Spanish! Living with a host family and being around Spanish 24/7 helps you learn the language much better then any book can. I love everything about Buenos Aires and I can't wait to go back some day!

"I wish I had studied at Cambridge sooner! I attended the program not knowing a single person but the experience of traveling with a group of people, exploring a new country together and taking classes in groups of 20-30 (compared to a UCI lecture of 400) created a lasting bond that was established from the first day."

"Studying abroad in Cambridge was by far the most incredible experience. Waking up every morning in the midst of one of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities was amazing. The town of Cambridge is beautiful and the Program Assistants have countless activities planned to help you enjoy it to its fullest both by day and by night. From formal dinners to punting on the river to hiking the Trossachs, this was the best 5 weeks of my life. I encourage you to create your own memories in Cambridge!"

"Going to Cambridge is one of the best things I have done for myself in college! I loved how such a beautiful city became a part of my daily life - from King's College Chapel to punting on the river, there was always something to do and see and it never got old! The trips to Edinburgh and London were so amazing, and the program advisers really made an effort to make things unforgettable for us. I loved the time I spent there and the friends I made - as cheesy as it sounds, Cambridge will always be a part of me!" (attended session II)

"Getting the opportunity to study abroad in Cambridge was a life changing experience. I met friends and made memories that I will hold dearly for the rest of my life. Don't wait to have to have this experience. Even if you don't know anyone going, as was the case with me, you will have the time of your life!"

"I have always had a fascination with traveling and learning about new cultures. I love spontaneous trips and trying and doing new things. Studying abroad to Chile has been such an inspiring trip and it really fed my adventurous side in craving to continue traveling to new places. Whether that be just going to a new local event here in Irvine, or having another opportunity to travel to another country, I always try to make the most out of every experience possible and gain irreplaceable experiences like I did from Chile."

"Studying abroad in Italy opened my eyes to the vast world around me. You immerse yourself in a different culture, surround yourself with a variety of strangers, and you learn to adapt to the environment around you. I've always dreamed about going to Italy, and not only did I get to see Italy for myself, but I got the chance to experience the culture as well. Life is too short to let it an opportunity like this pass by."

"I will never forget this past summer in Italy! I honestly have to say those 5 weeks have been incredible--from the amazing cooks to the fun classes and of course the unlimited amounts of gelato consumed! I wish I could study abroad again!"

"I had an AWESOME time on the Italy program. It is an experience that I will never forget and would love to go through again. I never thought I could go abroad as an engineer but I was wrong. I'm glad I was wrong."

"This is a summer I will never forget. I got the chance to immerse myself in the culture of Italy and travel to Rome, Florence, and Pisa. Being in a foreign country gave me the chance to step outside my comfort zone and use Italian phrases while ordering gelato (Italian ice cream)."

Being in Seoul, South Korea was a whirlwind adventure. I did something new every single day and traveled to so many different pockets of the city, I lost count! The food is incredible, the culture is gracious and exciting, and the people I met on my trip are now some of the best ones I have...and they live across the world! I never expected myself to end up on a study abroad program in Korea, but I cannot imagine having had a better experience anywhere else. You will not regret it in the least! KOREA IS WHERE IT'S HAPPENIN'.

"You have nothing to lose and so much to gain so go, go, GO! I went abroad to South Korea in summer 2011 and I absolutely loved it! I learned many Korean customs, ate tons of Korean food, and met incredible people. By going abroad, you discover culture, people, and most of all yourself."

"Studying abroad in Cyprus was all I could ever ask for and far, far more. It was a cultural awakening which made me hungry for more – the Greek food, architecture, its citizens, etc. Even though it was only a month, I felt that I developed so much more as a strong individual. If I have another opportunity to go back to Cyprus or another European country, count on seeing me there!"

"Going abroad helped me to understand more about myself. When you are out there on your own, you start to realize little things about yourself; some good some bad. Because of this, I am now a more independent and confident person ready to take on the rest of the world."
