Start your UCI experience this Summer

As an incoming student at the University of California, Irvine, you are invited to take part in Freshman Edge, an innovative program that will provide you with a rich academic, social, and personal foundation for the next four years.

Begin college during the summer, when the campus is more accessible and relaxed. You will be part of a small, highly-motivated group of incoming students, and will have an opportunity to become familiar with the academic rigor and social scene of UCI under ideal conditions of maximum opportunity and support.

By the beginning of the fall quarter, you will have already started on your college course work and graduation requirements, become acquainted with the UCI campus, gained confidence in meeting and speaking with professors, and become part of a close-knit group of incoming students. Join us this summer as you build your foundation for the next four years!

Financial Aid is available to assist UCI students in meeting the costs of attending Summer Session.

International freshmen will especially benefit from coming to campus early and should carefully consider the potential benefit of enrolling in the English Reading and Vocabulary course.

I would recommend Freshman Edge because you get a sense of the campus, classes, students, environment, and most importantly, new methods that can help you succeed in college.2015 Freshman Edge Student
